I just noticed on the Xcom1Ruleset that the UBASE_07 map block has a type value of 4, which according to the table below is defined as a "Road Crossing (for city maps)". If this value is correct, shouldn't the table also include this possible use?Hobbes (talk) 00:37, 18 June 2014 (EDT)

No. That was simply there to differentiate it from the rest of the map blocks.

New terrain flags

Can someone please update the Terrain section? As of November 2014, old flags are no longer functional, but the new ones are unclear.--Solarius Scorch (talk) 09:11, 29 November 2014 (EST)

Warboy should be the one updating this since I haven't been able yet to go over the new terrain generation rules but at the same time the new rules only apply to the nightly, so the info here is still useful for 1.0. Hobbes (talk) 10:06, 29 November 2014 (EST)
Warboy is too busy coding. - Warboy 32nd Octembuary 12 BC
Just found a document he send me a while ago with comments about each rule. I'll try to update this page later on. Hobbes (talk) 10:16, 29 November 2014 (EST)
Excellent news. Please let me know if I can help.--Solarius Scorch (talk) 13:34, 1 December 2014 (EST)

OpenXCom versions and ruleset changes

I think we need to figure out a better way to document the changes between 1.0 and the nightlies. I've been wanting to update the terrain generation rules but I haven't come up with a solution. Adding: Obsolete with the xxx nightly, well it works, but it the function isn't obsolete completely since it still works with 1.0. Any ideas? Hobbes (talk) 17:49, 4 December 2014 (EST)

Lets make a copy of the 1.0 stable version somewhere (should be in the history section) and keep this page for development--Falko (talk) 18:49, 4 December 2014 (EST)
How about we keep both then and create a new Ruleset Reference Nightly (OpenXcom) page, both with links on the OpenXcom table? I only work with 1.0 at the moment (until I started working on the new Geoscape) and not being able to quickly access that info will be a pain. Hobbes (talk) 19:03, 4 December 2014 (EST)
"OpenXcom table"? sure we can make 2 pages that can be maintained independently and only referenced by this page. i also would be ok with keeping this page 1.0 and only reference the nightly on top of the page .. (even if i prefer it the other way) but the work to get it back to 1.0 is alot i even found 1.0 properties like "terrain->ufo/craftPositions" that were deleted recently but never occured here AFAIK. --Falko (talk) 05:15, 5 December 2014 (EST)
OpenXcom Table is the one displayed on the initial OpenXcom page, listing all the relevant OXC pages. Hobbes (talk) 19:48, 4 December 2014 (EST)
