The Advent Shieldbearer is a special trooper variant that is more heavily armored than their allies and equipped with a special shield generator that grants protection to allies.

The Advent Shieldbearer is a heavily armored support unit of the ADVENT squad that is much more durable than their allies and has a shield generator that can grant protection to allies within a large range. While their offensive capabilties are that of a standard trooper, their durability more than makes up for it as it makes them tougher to remove from the field allowing them to remain a threat.

Tips

  • Like most flankable units, they will ideally try to find reasonable cover whenever flanked. This can be taken advantage of if you want to force enemies to move.
  • The Shieldbearer generally aims to provide protection to their allies so you have a general idea what they are going to spend their turn doing. Some things to watch out for is still placing yourself into flanks or if they are not in position to shield allies which will make them more likely to fire at your soldiers instead.
