so, i hear that medium scouts with exploded power systems often contain aliens. which aliens use medium scouts and can survive a blast that can flatten the outer walls? i know secopods can, but with the possible exception of mutons on super human, i don't think anything else can. the GZ of these blasts is calculated at 310+--(name here) 05:39, 24 December 2007 (PST)

0) The aliens count as generated regardless. Also, the equipment will survive the first explosion. The equipment is generally not gone until the second explosion (but cf. questions about "blow-through" damage).

1) GZ is variable; I think the minimum has been tested as 190, but am too lazy to actually look it up in the forums. Ignoring the chairs, this translates to an absolute minimum damage of 95 at GZ and 85 at two squares away.

2) Using the StrategyCore reference stats, the candidates are: All Mutons (Beginner+: GZ), Ethereal Leader (Experienced+: range 1), Ethereal Soldier (Experienced+: range 2). This does not include the benefits of cover, although I believe the spawn points are not that reasonably placed for Medium Scout.

Weaker Wall?

That's what I thought. Thanks for clarifying. Though maybe it should be noted that on some other places, such as the Battleship and the Alien Base, the Alien Entertainment walls are indeed the walls...and a fair bit easier to shoot a hole through. Arrow Quivershaft 20:00, 28 February 2009 (CST)

Thought the pictures would speak for themselves as you can clearly see there is something in front of the hull or substituted in place of a wall segment, but perhaps not everyone is as observant or aware of map generation. Where do you propose we add this info? UFO_Ground_Assault seems like a good place. --Zombie 21:06, 28 February 2009 (CST)

I think that would work pretty well. In my own defense, I thought there was a wall for the Medium Scout, but I wanted to check as I've made dumb mistakes before editing other people's facts away because they conflict with my false data. Arrow Quivershaft 22:44, 28 February 2009 (CST)

It was my bad. I didn't realise that the hull takes up the space to the left and the computer is on the right... they are entirely separate terrain tiles. hmm.
