Mourning

I had a bad day today. I was assaulting a battleship - the ol' sweep-and-clear. Alpha Fireteam was storming the interior, and Bravo - composed of rookies led by a single sergeant, a veteran named Igor Mikhailov - was sweeping the outside. The interior was nearly empty, and Alpha's part of the mission was a milk run. Bravo had to deal with over a dozen Floaters, and my rookies were performing incredibly. We were down to the last alien (or so I thought). I was already swelling with pride over the performance of the rookies of Bravo Fireteam. They were a perfect model of accuracy, coordination, and speed, veritable archangels, gods of war. And then a blaster bomb came and killed every single one of them. So here I am, making this comment to remember the bright but brief blaze of glory of Bravo Fireteam. Gone but never forgotten. R.I.P. Bravo Fireteam!

War is hell. If you believed in them, keep fighting for what they believe in. Bag me some flying devils, boys! --JellyfishGreen 02:15, 21 March 2006 (PST)
