When I was watching a Interceptor chase after a UFO I noticed it seemed to adjust its path every 5 minutes. - I have not observed anything not explainable by the already-documented algorithm (great-circle until target latitude, then follow latitude).
- Note that great circles take some practice with before they become intuitive. They're not Euclidean plane straight lines, so they do "adjust" compared : to a simple straight line.
