This UFO Recovery object is an unused feature that cannot be recovered, sold or researched during a normal game since you will never retrieve it from tactical missions. However, if you set an object normally on the battlescape to be Alien Habitat, you will recover it at the end of the mission (1 point per unit). Back at base, you can sell the Habitats for $100 per unit because it has an entry in PURCHASE.DAT. Unfortunately, it does not have a RESEARCH.DAT entry (thus preventing you from researching it) or a UP.DAT entry (allowing you to see the topic in the UFOPaedia).
