Disruptor Multi-Bomb Launcher (Apocalypse)
The Multi-Bomb Launcher is, in effect, an alien flak cannon designed specifically to destroy swarms of small ships. Shortly after the missile is fired, it bursts into smaller missiles that pepper nearby targets. Against larger single targets, the missiles are no more effective than a standard Disruptor missile.
The Alien Bomber and Alien Battleship commonly employ this weapon to cripple if not entirely wipe out Hoverbike swarms. Keep your swarmers well away from these ships.
Though X-COM can build the ammunition and use the Multi-Bomb launcher, there are few occasions where the Multi-Bomb's special ability can be used as most alien ships are fairly large or very solitary.
Against hostile organizations, the multi-bomb can be used to good effect against the smaller base defender vehicles when staging an air assault on a building.
