Throw it through the ceiling.
Most explosives can be chucked up through ceilings. This is useful if you don't know where enemies are exactly, but you know where they are roughly. Use a big enough boomstick and you'll probably kill any in the vicinity of the blast.
Tentaculat/Chrysallid Bug
You need mc to do this. once you encounter a zombie(civilian or your x-aquanaut/soldier) mc him and shoot him... the chrysallid/tentaculat will be hostile but wait a turn and its yours for the rest of the mission, if it was one of your aquanauts/soldier he will be back once you won the mission so dont forget to bring the tentaculat/chrysallid with you;).
