The Hyper-Wave Decoder is the ultimate scanning device. While scanning, it detects any UFO and lets you know its type, race, mission, and destination.
You only need one at each base, and you can dismantle all other radars, since they are now obsolete. The Decoder picks up every UFO that enters its wider scanning radius, immediately, unlike either Radar.
