− | While the general consensus is to avoid weapons that require reloading since ammunition can be expensive, it's important to note that the Janitor missile array's performance is a good balance to the cost of its missiles. At the beginning, you can mount one of these missile arrays on each of your hovercars to give them a good offensive punch against the smaller craft. However, as the game progresses and the alien ships get larger, you're better off upgrading to something with more punch. |

The Janitor Missile Array is a basic aircraft missile launcher with a high ammunition capacity. It is a standard armament on newly purchased Pheonix Hovercars. Though not a particularly outstanding missile launcher, the Janitor Missile Launcher provides a fair balance of performance that allow it to stand apart from the other early aircraft missile launchers.
The key distinguishing feature of the Janitor Missile Array is its high ammunition storage, which allows vehicles to participate in extended air skirmishes. Its compact small size allows it to be fitted onto almost any aircraft, making it a great swarm weapon. The primary downsides are with ammo costs and raw damage output. Buying up ammunition stocks can cost over $10000 per week, and it has trouble bringing down larger UFOs. It is however one of the best options to take down light UFOs at the start of the game.
Like all missile projectiles, Janitor Missiles can home in on their targets, making them excellent against small and agile craft. Missile jamming arrays such as the Missile Evasion Matrix and alien Cloaking Field cause the missiles to turn wider, making it harder for them to hit their mark.
