Laser Pistol (Hardmode)
A new generation pistol, the Laser Pistol can be researched following the discovery of Laser Weaponry. Researching this weapon will unlock insights into the Laser Rifle and Scatter Laser
The Laser Pistol is virtually unchanged from the vanilla Laser Pistol aside from a slight alien alloy and elerium cost in its construction.
This weapon is better seen less as a pistol and more as a submachinegun. It suffers from bad long range accuracy and relatively low damage output compared to its peers, it also also fairly heavy for a sidearm, being almost as heavy as a Laser Rifle.
This weapon can be situationally useful as a sidearm for more specialist troops, its unlimited ammo can prove useful for soldiers who may run out of ammo or be wielding weapons poorly suited for close range combat.
