Chambered for 7.62x51mm NATO, this battle rifle was a mainstay of the US military's arsenal at the time the game takes place.
This gun will be your friend for many of the early missions, with a fair accuracy and decently stable shooting, and moderate rate of damage.
It can be first accuired in Groom Range, shortly after getting your first squadmate, direcyl after the cutscene of the Gunship blasting the staircase.
