This is the alien's form of navigation, and is usually operated by a Navigator rank alien. If the craft was shot down, then expect some Mag. Navigation units to still be there.

The main purpose of this item is to be used in the creation of X-COM Craft, such as the Manta, Leviathan, or Hammerhead. It requires Aqua-Plastics to make, but if you do enough missions, you should have enough to last you for a few months. Also needed in the creation of Magnetic Ion Armor and to open research of the Transmission Resolver and Alien Sub Construction.

This item appears in Terror from the Deep. For the UFO: Enemy Unknown equivalent, refer to UFO Navigation.

Additional Information

  • Sells for $80,000 apiece.
  • When recovering the units pictured in the in-game UFOpedia entry, you'll instead get Alien Sub Construction modules.
  • Synonium devices from artefact and colony missions also count as navigation units, but aren't recovered as such.
