Description

This new device uses a variety of sensors and advanced computer systems to detect moving enemy units in water.

How To Use

Click on the Disturbance Sensor icon on the tactical display. Select 'Use Sensor' from the menu. The Sensor shows an arrow in the centre which is the direction the aquanaut is facing [North is at the top]. The blips show units which have moved recently. Large units, or fast moving units, will produce larger blips. Static units will not show up.

To return to the Battlescape, click the right mouse button.

Comparison to UFO Mirror: Motion Scanner

This is essentially identical to the Motion Scanner. Despite the description, it functions on land as well as in water.

Additional Notes

This is the most profitable item that can be manufactured at the start of the game, without research. The first item researched that is more profitable is usually the Gauss Cannon. However, it takes no less than 4 months of full-time manufacture of Disturbance Sensors to repay the initial outlay on Technicians, their Workshops and the Living Quarters to house them.
