General Information
The plasma defence module is a defence system that launches plasma attacks against an incoming retaliation ship (an alien Battleship).
It is the end result of plasma based research.
While the increase in power over the laser defences is proportional to the increase in initial cost, maintenance is only marginally more expensive.
This base facility appears in UFO: Enemy Unknown. For the Terror from the Deep equivalent, refer to the Sonic Defences.
