The Plama Turret Cannon is the most accurate and powerful single-shot tank-mounted weapon in Mega-Primus. It has the greatest range of all the ground based weapons. It is powered by a generous amount of Elerium, allowing it to weather through most UFO incursions.
Like the GLM Air Defense turret, the greater range renews the Griffon AFV's ability to fight UFOs at a distance without bringing too much attention to itself - given it is strategically positioned in the city to be able to intercept UFOs as they fly by. However, unlike the missiles, the plasma beam will not adjust its course during travel, making it much harder to hit swift moving targets at distances.
