Sonic Pulser
General Information
The Sonic Pulser is the main method of indirect attack used by the aliens in the Second Alien War. Working at all depths, the Sonic Pulser emits a powerful blast of sonic energy in all directions at once that can shred armor, flesh, and bone alike. Any soldier caught in the blast radius will be severely injured and likely killed.
It is worth noting that the AI cannot use any of the melee weapons (the drills). However, any alien armed with a drill will also be equipped with three or more Sonic Pulsers, making them an extremely dangerous enemy to turn your back on.
The Sonic Pulser's power outclasses anything humanity can manufacture, even the Magna-Pack Explosive. Therefore, as soon as you have a significant stock of these weapons, they should become your standard-issue grenade for the rest of the war, as they are smaller, lighter, and more powerful.
Sonic Pulsers cannot be destroyed by other explosions; however, they can be prevented from detonating by picking them up.
