Spitter (Apocalypse)
This unfortunate creature dedicates its short life to combat and protection of more vulnerable Alien forms. It has limited intelligence and attacks using its funnel head which projects a mix of deadly micro-organisms up to medium range. Despite its humanoid form it is incapable of using other weapons or equipment. It has no eyes, ears or nose but it can accurately detect the presence of nearby organic life forms. This ability is based on a specialized form of Psionic receptor and makes the creature very dangerous in combat situations. From: Apocalypse Ufopaedia

The alarming appearance of the Spitter reflects the fact that this creature's only purpose is to be used in combat. The funnel head propels a liquid containing micro-organisms which secrete acids and enzymes. The large stomach of the creature generates the deadly vomit and would suggest that it sucks up the remains of any victim with its funnel head. With no discernible brain structure this creature is immune from Psionic attacks. From: Apocalypse Ufopaedia
A pink, bipedal humanoid form with its head and neck replaced by a large funnel.
Infiltration
A Spitter is one of the four alien lifeforms which hatches from a Chrysalis. This is its final-form. It is unable to use any equipment.
An alien infestation spreading across the city will almost always contain Spitters. They are commonly used in a combat support role for more agressive aliens and as protection for vunerable aliens such as the Multiworm Egg and Chrysalis.
Combat
A Spitter is immune to psionics.
A Spitter attacks by propelling a green goo up to 18cells distance. Spitters are usually found near Multiworms when the worms are in active combat but prefer to loiter near eggs and coccoons, if present. It is common tactic for spitters to join an assault after more powerful aliens have been eliminated. If overwhelmed, they will try to escape or hide. They do not use their claws as weapons.
Resistance
Spitters are mildly resistant to stun gas, stun grapple and Toxin-A whereas Toxin-B has a more potent effect.
Spitter research is another step further for understanding all alien lifeforms.
