So I just completed a playthrough and was rather surprised to see that the aliens in the alien dimension were *terribly* equipped. When I finally kicked them out of mega-primus they were consistently packing shields and devastators and had just got entropy launchers, but in the alien dimension almost none had shields and about 3/4 of them had no equipment at all! I initially thought this was just because I was on the Sleeping Chamber mission so they were all caught napping, but even up to the Megapod factory I was finding a lot of weaponless anthropods and skeletoids. Is this an oddity of my game, or a common thing? Binkyuk 06:14, 14 December 2012 (EST)

: Not normally. Can think of two possibilities. Did you use any editor during the course of the playthrough to help speed your way through to that point of the game? If yes, you might not have adjusted the score level to let the aliens access their more advanced tech. If this was through the normal course of a game, then perhaps a glitch or data corruption may have caused them to revert to earlier tech. -NKF 06:47, 14 December 2012 (EST)

:: No editor. Interesting thought about the earlier tech, but then they should still have had brainsucker launchers at least (since I was doing a play through entirely in TB that would have been a nightmare!). Could it be that blitzing all the UFOs in the alien dimension caused their bank balance to go negative so it decided they couldn't afford equipment? Or maybe as you say, just a glitch.  Binkyuk 07:03, 14 December 2012 (EST)

I've been experiencing an issue with alien buildings which makes me think there is an item table limit of 500 or so. Specifically, when I send too many items into a battle, some of my soldiers simply won't spawn (24 soldiers with 416 items? All spawn. 24 soldiers with 560 items? Only 20 actually spawn, with 464 items). In the latter case, I also ran into the issue with unarmed aliens. My guess is that aliens will spawn without items if the table is full but soldiers won't (presumably so the gear you brought to the battle doesn't vanish into the aether). Just doing a playthrough on Novice, and on Week 9 I got a fleet with two Battleships. This surprised me, since I'd read this page and according to it they shouldn't have had two Battleships to send (I shot down and recovered the one in Week 7, and indeed upon looking around the Alien Dimension in Week 8 there were no Battleships there). So I'm pretty sure they get two Battleships in Week 9, not one. And, well, when you've got one inaccuracy it casts doubt on all the rest of the figures, although most of them aside from that did seem to match up. Figured out what's going on. The UFO Growth is right; there's a bug in the spawn routine for infiltration fleet 17 that lets it spawn when there's only one Battleship (it checks twice for whether there's one Battleship, instead of checking for whether there are two). Does anybody know the full specs of what they spawn? The timeframe is well-established (e.g. Wong guide), but what they spit out for each mission isn't well-documented (I've seen a claim that it's always a mix of Anthropods/Skeletoids/Spitters, but this is obviously untrue since there are a couple of missions where Poppers can be spawned and I know the last mission is 100% Skeletoids). I'm also interested in where that data is (executable? map files?) since I'm interested in modding it. The building list appears to be out of sequential order. -NKF 16:12, 13 November 2009 (EST)

Most likely it is. I listed them according to a .txt file of the Apoc UFOPedia I have but it might be wrong. Do you know the correct order? Hobbes 17:12, 13 November 2009 (EST)
Found the correct list (I hope) on the Biochemistry page. Hobbes 17:18, 13 November 2009 (EST)
Thanks Hobbes, that looks right. I was looking up the building that the Micronoids appear in and was getting a bit confused. -NKF 20:28, 13 November 2009 (EST)

Inaccuracy?

Reinforcement teleporters

Does anybody know the full specs of what they spawn? The timeframe is well-established (e.g. Wong guide), but what they spit out for each mission isn't well-documented (I've seen a claim that it's always a mix of Anthropods/Skeletoids/Spitters, but this is obviously untrue since there are a couple of missions where Poppers can be spawned and I know the last mission is 100% Skeletoids).
