Woefully equipped alien guards

So I just completed a playthrough and was rather surprised to see that the aliens in the alien dimension were *terribly* equipped. When I finally kicked them out of mega-primus they were consistently packing shields and devastators and had just got entropy launchers, but in the alien dimension almost none had shields and about 3/4 of them had no equipment at all! I initially thought this was just because I was on the Sleeping Chamber mission so they were all caught napping, but even up to the Megapod factory I was finding a lot of weaponless anthropods and skeletoids. Is this an oddity of my game, or a common thing? Binkyuk 06:14, 14 December 2012 (EST)
