Just noticed that the "civilians" section in the navbar is still labeled "to do", but the page does in fact exist - see Population (Apocalypse). I'd do it myself, but I don't know how to edit the navbar...

Like this? I think the original idea was to have individual links for each type of civilian, but there's only the single page right now :/ AMX (talk) 13:45, 30 September 2014 (EDT)

Thanks! Yeah, it's only one page - at least for now. Perhaps there will be proper articles for each type one day, but I'd say a face-lift of the Alien's pages should have priority (for example, it would be nice to have the Aliens' stats on each page). --Darkpast (talk) 12:34, 2 October 2014 (EDT)

Most of the Apocalypse navbars haven't truly been set, and most of what you see in them is just thrown in to get some ideas rolling until there's more content. I think the civilian division should just cover the general civilians, cultists, gangsters and security forces. NKF (talk) 16:29, 2 October 2014 (EDT)

Do we need to exhaustively list every UFO that drops an alien?

I've noticed edits adding this information to alien pages. It's already in the UFO pages, and much better organised. Stuff like "Megaspawn are never dropped into buildings" is notable enough to mention in alien articles, as is the life cycle, but I think adding a full, unformatted list to every single alien page is just unneeded clutter. I guess you have a point. I would also keep the information concerning the rare aliens (e.g. that Micronoids are found only aboard Bombers) and a few other tidbits, such that the Skeletoids begin to appear with Assault Ships.
Btw, the individual Alien Ship pages should mention that some of the "infiltration forces" are only used when an X-COM building is targeted during a Subversion mission. Darkpast (talk) 13:06, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
I agree regarding Micronoids/Bombers and Psimorphs/Motherships. I'll see how I can word it regarding the Probe/Fast-Attack/Bomber (those are the ones that are base-attack only, right? The Escort never drops, and the other six can do normal Infiltration). Magic9mushroom (talk) 13:15, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
Yes, those three are the base-attack only ones. The Escort entry already has the relevant note. Darkpast (talk) 13:19, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
