Terrorist numbers

I'm am not sure if the numbers given for the terrorists on this ship are always correct. This week I downed a gillman ship on a surface attack mission which was guarded by 10 Xarquids. Difficulty was superhuman and I am using the dos version with the 2.1 patch and the survey ship and dye grenade are patched as well.
