Enemy Within Difference

Item has additional flavor text in EW " - It's also sturdy enough to provide a strangulation countermeasure." Although nothing is stated in Tactical Info, can anyone verify if Chitin Plating is capable of stopping strangulation ala Respirator Implant? Hm, didn't occur to me to test--- like the aliens that have Gene Mods from their autopsy, it wasn't untill late on that I realized they had new data in the Report, so the old Autopsy entries need to be updated, too, I think. The Respirator adds +2 HP, so it's like the Nanofiber Vest (which doesn't have any other bonuses). --Xuncu 15:46, 18 November 2013 (EST)

I've already noticed that some items/research have new flavor text but I haven't thought about how to integrate it. IMO it would be better to keep both the old EU text and the new EW text. Any ideas how? Hobbes 16:57, 18 November 2013 (EST)

Maybe like how other wikis do flavor texts, Wikia for example. They spoiler long text to avoid cluttered page. Maybe keep EU pages standard with EW stuff hidden in a spoiler underneath. So for Chitin Plating, keep page same but put spoiler with EW flavor text underneath to allow players a choice which to see.--DracoGriffin 17:50, 18 November 2013 (EST)

You may have noticed that in the regular idividual Classes' page, I added an "EW Supplemental", though that may be too unelegant for altered Reports and Items. I think one even added the Genome text in the middle of the report, so it can't really be just tacked om at the bottom.--Xuncu 00:46, 19 November 2013 (EST)

I've just tested a new box to this page with the EW description for everyone to see the visual effect and comment. My main concerns are that the EW changes need to be clearly marked, preferably without too much repetition of already existing text and on an easy way. Any comments/suggestions? I still think a spoiler tag/template would be great. I figure most people are playing EW than EU, especially console players since EW is standalone. So the spoiler would hide the new box and any other information (like EW specific tips) and only be revealed when clicked. Not something possible?--DracoGriffin 11:50, 20 November 2013 (EST)
