I'm thinking of reworking the description to be a bit less positive, as literally all of the Mega-Primus weapons actually have better DPS than the Disruptor Gun (due to the latter's awful accuracy and mediocre RoF). The advantage of the Disruptor Gun is more about easy dual-wielding and convenience of a standard loadout than its effectiveness as a weapon. Any objections? Regarding "damage upgrade"
I'm thinking of reworking the description to be a bit less positive, as literally all of the Mega-Primus weapons actually have better DPS than the Disruptor Gun (due to the latter's awful accuracy and mediocre RoF). - You also don't need to worry about ammunition. For playthroughs were you become and stay hostile with Megapol and Marsec, it becomes pretty much mandatory.
- It's also an alternative to use for Hybrids over the Plasma Gun in combination with a Mind Bender to avoid overencumberance.
