Possibly worth carrying a few Dye Grenades as an instant fire extinguisher if you are making frequent use of Phosphor rounds and don't yet have all troops in armour that is invulnerable to fire? For example, if you have a support Aquanaut with an HJC-P for illumination at night, that Aquanaut or a buddy could carry a couple of Dye Grenades in case of mishaps. If fire destroyed dropped objects then it might also be worth carrying Dye Grenades to preserve loot. But I believe fire does not affect dropped objects at all? Spike 07:40, 25 September 2012 (EDT)
- No, fire doesn't destroy objects on the ground. Just to test this out, I exploded a dye grenade in a patch of burning coral (only things that wouldn't wink out after one turn in the map I was on!), and it didn't affect the burning patches. At least, there was no noticeable effect with a plain vanilla dye grenade. -NKF 04:08, 26 September 2012 (EDT)
