Next time someone starts a new EU campaign, and also if/when someone goes for a new vanilla EU campaign: turn on dialogue captions, and screencap the lines Shen says after the first Floater encounters so we can transcribe it -- put it here, or better in Meld, or the "EW in general" page? Anyways, it's different in EU vs EW. I forget the exact text, but in EU he's all like "I want no part of this if this is where we're heading, too", but in EW, he's all "I find this troubling. We have to continue, but is that where we're now heading to, as well?", in refrence to MEC/gene mod development. I forget if there's any other instances of "Superego" Shen having dialogue changes between the two. (fyi: the view that Valen is Id, Bradford is Ego, and Shen represents the Superego from Freud's work, not that Shen is egotistical)--[[User:Xuncu|Xuncu]] ([[User talk:Xuncu|talk]]) 00:32, 25 September 2014 (EDT)

Things to note, explore as more people play: mention that they're naturally immune to fire and poision, but still suspectable to Psi attacks, and exploring leveling them fully human first before conversion vs early conversion (and can unclassed rookies be transformed? I didn't check. --Xuncu 07:11, 17 November 2013 (EST)

Cluttered Information

Currently page has a ton of redundant information, some that is very basic/self-explanatory. I understand new game/DLC so people still need it but makes page very difficult for people that already know cost, the lab only holds 3 people, the class abilities and inability to augment rookies, etc.

Not sure how to format page more... Cleanly? Especially tips section, seems all repeated from above sections.--DracoGriffin 14:43, 21 November 2013 (EST)

Well, give it a try at reediting. There is info that would be better fit better in the Cybernetics Lab page and we reworked both Labs pages them we could also use them as templates on the EW DLC page. Just keep in mind that the content of this page is also used both for the EW DLC page and the Classes (EU2012) page. Probably that's why there's so much redundant info. Abilities

Hobbes, what do you mean by this edit: "Automated Threat Assessment is cancelled when the the MEC fires, which makes it dubiously useful, unless used with Reactive Targeting Sensors."? If MEC does not go into Overwatch, it does not receive +Def bonus. If anything, makes it worse since if no aliens move, MEC retains +Def bonus, but Reactive Targeting Sensors will act like EU "Covering Fire" in a sense, and remove the +Def bonus if MEC is fired upon while in Overwatch.--DracoGriffin 13:18, 2 December 2013 (EST)

Absorption fields and Shock Absorbent Armor

If anyone knows which of these triggers first, please add it to the wiki. If SAA triggers after AF, it makes the former a somewhat more attractive option, since it drops damage down to about 20% of max HP, *IF* the alien is within 4 squares. Arrow Quivershaft 20:09, 7 December 2013 (EST)

Floaters, Shen dialogue

Next time someone starts a new EU campaign, and also if/when someone goes for a new vanilla EU campaign: turn on dialogue captions, and screencap the lines Shen says after the first Floater encounters so we can transcribe it -- put it here, or better in Meld, or the "EW in general" page? The original saying is this: "The more I see, the more I don't want to see. That twisted hulk of flesh and metal... driven by the alien technology, can we still call that life? We have to keep moving forward with the project, but the thought of treading the same path as the aliens... is troubling. What if they were like us once? Are we just part of a continuing cycle? If this is glimpse of our future, I want no part of it."
On EW it has been changed to: "That hulk of flesh and metal troubles me. What do we risk with our own investigations into the melding of human and machine? Will we see a line in the sand and refuse to cross it? Or will we move forward, willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of total victory? I have to believe that is not our future. Btw, you can read the subtitles if you open the INT files on the /Localization/INT folder. From what I've seen that's the only dialogue that has been changed. Hobbes (talk) 08:02, 25 September 2014 (EDT)
