Can soldiers only be revived when it gives you a message telling you that they're unconscious?

No, you can revive them any time after they are unconscious. The game does not always pop up a "Soldier X has become unconscious" message. Spike 13:54, 15 October 2008 (CDT)

Is there any way to cure or prevent berserk (I guess mind control), or panic, or anything like that?

Either enemy Psionics or just normal Morale failure can cause these same effects (Berserk, Panic). You need to keep Morale high. Pick soldiers with high Bravery. Avoid getting people killed, particularly your leaders - keep your higher ranks toward the back and don't take risks with them. If someone freaks out in a battle, fire them or leave them on base guard duty. Spike 13:54, 15 October 2008 (CDT)

Med Kits vs Large Units

While you can administer med shots to unconscious large enemies, it doesn't make any sense whatsoever to do so since they can never wake up (either naturally or via stimulant injections). Here again, the usefulness of checking a large unit's status (alive or dead) is quite meaningless as well since it can never wake up and hurt anyone. The only time it may be beneficial is when you are trying to keep unconscious units from clogging up astore.dat. But if you pay attention when the unit drops to the ground you'll know if it's alive or dead by whether it makes a death scream. And a primed grenade is enough to squash any doubt whatever the case... --Zombie 12:07, 5 September 2009 (EDT)
