- It's likely just fluff text. Such a situation as you described would require special code for dealing with older UFOs crewed by Snakemen. Since a UFO site is randomly generated upon X-COM arriving dependent only on crashed/landed status, the location, and race(leading to the occasional "UFOs repair themselves if left alone!" discussion), I view it as incredibly unlikely that such a feature was ever considered.
