The vehicle version of the teleporter is a standard sized 2×2 module that can be plugged into vehicles that allow the vehicle to teleport.

The teleporter regrettably cannot be used for the same tactical advantage that is enjoyed by the agent-portable Personal Teleporter. The destination of the teleport is unpredictable and the teleport mechanism only activates when the ship is badly damaged and all shields are lost. The teleporter is therefore an escape mechanism.

The randomness of the teleport works well in the environs of Mega-Primus due to the smaller scale and reach of the X-COM/Alien air conflicts. In the Alien Dimension, with enemy ships everywhere, the unpredictability may throw the damaged ship into even greater danger.
