UFOpaedia was started in February 2005 by me, [Griffiths].

I thought that it would be a great idea to get together all of the X-COM fans in the world and together build up a complete encyclopaedia of everything X-COM.

What suits a task such as that better than a Wiki?

X-COM, the X-COM games, and anything else that appears on this site taken from the games is copyrighted to Atari (I think they are the ones that own the X-COM trademarks these days!).
