Much info can be found on the wiki's Help:Contents section or in Wikipedia:Cheatsheet. Here's a few XCOM-specific tips for starters:

  • Please try to maintain the style and format within a given page (or if the page doesn't already exist, a page similar to it in function & scope), spell check, edit for grammar, etc.
  • The overall vision is that these pages should be easy to understand and navigate, which also means they should be structured to flow logically from one place to the next similar to how the game itself is structured.
  • If you want to make extensive changes to how something has already been posted, please start some Discussion and give people a chance (~24 hrs) to engage.
  • The norm for the game spelling is either XCOM or X-COM.
  • Try to use a neutral Point-of-View:
    • e.g., for Strategy or Combat, present both pros & cons in a factual manner; let the reader decide what they think fits into their gameplay style.
  • Please name pages "PageName XEU12" and add [[Category: XEU12)]] at the bottom of created pages.
  • Please add links to sources & references for everyone's enjoyment either by including the link in the text or creating a link in the Sources page.
  • To add your signature and timestamp: ~~~~
  • If you use original text from the game, please mark it clearly by using italics with quotation: "Italic text"
  • Strive to use the Discussion tab and give people ~24 hrs to respond before saving extensive changes. If people respond, work together before saving to avoid revert wars.
