You might have already noticed but disabling page caching doesn't solve the trick (at least for me today it didn't. The way to correct this seems to be using Ctrl + F5

Revision as of 21:04, 9 November 2005

Um, the recent changes page seems to have gone all screwy. It's not displaying the very MOST recent changes. It seems to have got the time confused: The starts off with changes made over half an hour ago...

If I mess with it, I can get changes made in the last half hour to show up, but not along with the ones made prior to that time!

Is it just me/a temporary bug?

Try two things: 1) Under Preferences / Misc Settings, checkmark "Disable page caching". Caching was messing with me badly til I figured this out. Or you can force a manual reload with e.g. F5 (Reload) in IE, but you have to do this EVERY time. 2) Under Preferences / Recent Changes, try Enhanced Recent Changes. Not sure what this does, but wth.

Hope that helps. Apologies if you already tried these!

Well, it was caching alright - I'd already tried hitting F5 out of instinct, but left it at that when it didn't work.

Ctrl - F5 does a more complete refresh, I should have tried that to start with.

What fooled me was that this was never a problem before... <:|

Disabling page caching seems to have returned things to normal, however. Thanks! :)

Yep, the first time it messed with me, I thought I was going nuts. I mean, I knew I'd just edited three things... so what happened to it? lol.
