Hello there :)

I just removed the reference to LW that you added on the Van Doorn page. I explained it on the comments but I think it was too short of an explanation so I decided to clarify it better. Essentially, the 'rule' is that mod content shouldn't be on pages related to the game. This was discussed a long time ago even before LW was created, because:

  • Those pages are to help players about the base game and a lot of people don't use mods, so that info could be misleading/confusing/useless to vanilla players
  • Mod developers could use game pages to 'promote' their mod
  • Once you start allowing mod info on those pages then you need to allow info from all mods, not just Long War. You might not be aware, but there are at least 10 or more total conversions/expansions that have been created by modders for the original UFO Defense using OpenXCom, and some of them are as large as LW, although not as big in popularity. And this not to mention the dozens of smaller mods that have been created for all XCom games.

Thus, it was decided to add LW (and OpenXCom) to 'Featured Projects' to overcome this issue of separating official from unofficial content: mods are more than welcome here, but they need to be properly separated from the vanilla game, by having their own pages.
