Workshop = Manufacturing = Money. Never have idle engineers, have them make something (anything) so you can sell it, if you don't need it however. Just be careful of using raw alien materials. Elerium is precious and rare. Want the ultimate Manufacturing plant? Have six workshops and 255 engineers!
