:Yes, Devastators are very powerful, but toxiguns ignore shields, fire very quickly, and tend to kill aliens in just one or two shots. That grants them far more stopping power when used against aliens, and means you can recover shields easily. Does anyone bother using Toxiguns? I am, after cleansing the city, and keeping aliens trapped behind the gates, only use double devastator guns to lay down a barrage. They are infinite, fast firing, extremely powerful.

Yes, Devastators are very powerful, but toxiguns ignore shields, fire very quickly, and tend to kill aliens in just one or two shots. That grants them far more stopping power when used against aliens, and means you can recover shields easily.
