Intent of Page

This page will eventually contain an index and an explanation on what keys are available in the game and what they do. The game manual only goes so far in explaining some of the keys, and many players will not know or use many of the useful keys available for interacting with the game.

For now, refer to the control reference that Zombie's put together on StrategyCore.

Cityscape Waypoints

Waypoints may be given to airbourne or road vehicles.

  • Switch to overhead view.
  • Give a vehicle a target destination (this can include "Attack" command).
  • Clck the "Move to Destination" button (next to "Move to Building" button)
  • Hold down the control button (CRTL) and LMB click somewhere on the overhead cityscape to add a waypoint.
  • The yellow line shows the path the vehicle will take after you release the buttons

Cityscape Vehicle Groups

  • Grouping cannot saved.
  • Maximum quantity that can be selected as one temporary group is 13.
  • Select multiple vehicles by holding down the CTRL button and either, LMB click on the icon in the bar displaying your craft, or click on the individual yellow icons on the cityscape portion.
  • The vehicles selected do not belong in a group anymore if you LMB click on an unhighlighted vehicle icon. To get those vehicles again, you must select them again via the tedious CTRL+LMB method.
  • The vehicle with the yellow border (the lead vehicle irrelevant who is grouped) is the one which has its weapon loadout displayed in the interface. Icons with an orange border denote the other selected vehicles within this temporary group.
  • To remove a vehicle from the grouping, hold down CTRL and RMB click on its icon.
  • The craft highlighted with the yellow border is the lead vehicle. When under manual control other vehicles within this temporary group will all fire on the target that the lead vehicle fires upon.
  • Height is only changed for the leader. The others in the group do not change.

Battlescape Controls

  • RMB will cancel a move order for your agents. It also will turn your agents to face a new direction.
  • Using the CTRL-LMB method (just like Cityscape use with vehicles) will select agents by clicking on the portrait or on the battlescape view.
  • Groups can be created by clicking the "Create Squad" button and selecting an empty group window. Maximum of six agents per window. Combining groups is also possible.
  • Jumping with J + LMB allows an agent to jump off a ledge or over the railing. This is different from the automatic jump performed when an agent comes across a one-cell hole. If an agent makes a two-cell-hole jump (this is only automatic) then the jumper may briefly fall unconscious.
  • If a unit jumps off a ledge of more then one level difference, fatal wound may result.
  • To move an agent to an occupied battlescape cell, click Alt-LMB the destination and it will place a move-to marker.
  • RMB on an enemy will highlight that unit so that your agents will concentrate fire onto it.
