Talk:Capturing Live Aliens (Apocalypse)

It is not necessary to have the capture information for individual aliens both here and on their respective pages. I suggest either put it all here and remove it from the aliens' pages, or have only general tips/game mechanics on this page and specific instructions on each alien's page. My gut says to put it on one page; Apocalypse may make capturing everything useful (and the only way to discover what the aliens are up to), but you never need to capture (or even autopsy) any aliens in order to win and thus it's a sidequest. There's also the advantage of avoiding restatement; there are several aliens which don't really need separate entries on capturing them (half of them boil down to "you don't need to" or "poke it with a Stun Grapple"; the psi-users can probably also be combined). OK, that sounds good. I'll remove the info from the individual alien pages and try to tidy this page up (I agree there are too many entries). Darkpast (talk) 07:24, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
I'd like to do the rewrite myself, if you don't mind. Otherwise, we're agreed. Magic9mushroom (talk) 07:33, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Go ahead. Darkpast (talk) 07:42, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Looks (and reads) much better now. I'd just like to comment on the Multiworm - personally I find it easier to weaken the worm from a distance (laser sniper guns are handy for this) and blanket the area with stun gas. The worm is usually too slow to escape the gas, and this way I avoid exposing my agents to its attacks. Of course, the worm needs to be in the open for this to work.
