General Information

The workshop has 50 units of space. Each unit can accomadate one working engineer, however development projects use multiple units of space.

Workshop = Manufacturing = Money. Never have idle engineers, have them make something (anything) so you can sell it, even if you don't need it. Just be careful of using raw alien materials - Elerium-115, for example, is too precious to convert into cash.

The Fusion Ball Launcher is the most profitable project you can mass produce that does not use alien materials. See Table of profits for details and other costs. It could be argued, however, that Alien Alloys are very quick to build, and much more useful, although they provide about one third the profit.
