The Faceless are the aliens' infiltration unit completely capable of transforming themselves into anytihing, even acting as civilians.

The Faceless are the aliens' infiltration units and do not appear normally in missions but instead lurk in the shadows hindering operations in the background. More detail can be found in here. When Faceless do reveal themselves they are a hulking unit that can wreck our soldiers. Their unique characteristics grants them the ability to Vault onto higher elevations with ease and have Regeneration that will heal any wounds over time. Their giant Scything Claws allows them to slice in an area damaging all targets within while also dealing some damage to the environment potentially destroying cover.

Tips

  • As a melee unit, they have to be within close range in order to attack. Thus an easy way to deal with them is to split your team such that the faceless chases one soldier whereas the rest of the team can fire shots freely without risk.
  • Unlike other melee units, their attack is not completely considered a melee and thus Combatives cannot counter it.
  • Faceless will only appear when the haven is attacked or as hidden guards in Dark VIP missions. Thus it is easy to prepare a squad that can engage with faceless if they get caught or bring tools to help detect faceless.
  • Faceless can deal a small amount of environmental damage when they swipe but floors can be extremely fragile thus it is best to avoid floors that can be destroyed if the faceless is in a position to attack.
