NKF, I'm surprised you removed my suggestion of Pistol in the role of Sniper or Safe Sniper weapon. The Pistol is more effective than the Rifle in this role, as both stats and your own experience suggest! It's most unlike you to minimise the power of the Pistol! Spike 15:32, 10 December 2009 (EST)

I removed the pistol - with much regret! However I do have to acknowledge its limitations. Just going by the descriptions of both the sniper and safe sniper options, the pistol doesn't quite fit most of the criteria beyond TU efficiency. Much of its success over long range combat lies on its number of attempts that it offer. Also it lacks power. Since they're quite similar I nearly removed the rifle, but it manages to hang on thanks to its aimed shot. That's the reasoning that I went through while I was reading the description. -NKF 02:54, 11 December 2009 (EST)
