The mechanics of mind shields
Mind shields are the only base-defense structures I use, and I know nothing of their effectiveness. How effective is one mind shield? Will multiple mind shields provide greater protection? I can't remember where I've read this, but only one has any effect. Based on my experience, I'd say they reduce the chances of your base being found by a "Retaliation" mission to about 10%.--Ethereal Cereal 11:06, 20 October 2006 (PDT)

I think it's more effective than 10%, but yes it does improve your base concealment considerably. It hasn't been verified (there's no quick and easy way to test this), but I too think only one module will have any effect. A lot of the other structures that most of us always thought would improve in power when more were added have been sorely disappointed. Like the grav shields and the radars. -NKF
