The ADVENT Sentry is a trooper variant with higher damage and specialization in overwatch.

With their base ability being Ready for Anything, the Sentry is able to shoot and enter overwatch in the same turn, making them a constant danger throughout the battle. More advanced versions further improve their overwatch, especially with Cool Under Pressure allowing them to crit. However they are easily shut down with a flashbang or any other disorientation source, as well as direct damage, Interference, or any other way to shut down their overwatch. They also boast an extended range of sight, making them a hard enemy to sneak around.
