The ADVENT Stun Lancer was initially developed by ADVENT to serve as less then lethal crowd control, that has changed. In the face of the increasing XCOM threat, these soldiers have been re-tasked as brutal, close-in melee fighters. Their high mobility and dangerous charge makes them an important unit to lock down.

- The stun lance has high accuracy bonus and has a chance to stun a unit for a single action or potentially knock the unit unconscious for the remainder of the deployment.
- Long War stun lancers are more likely to fire their rifle than in vanilla if a good melee target is unavailable.
- Stun Lancer threat is variable as a campaign progresses as they have a number of high impact Dark Events available to them.
