Alloy Drones are available to research and manufacture during the latter stages of the game.
Alloy drones are functionally superior to their predecessors in all respects, strictly speaking its armour has been significantly improved and its time units increased, allowing it to traverse more ground. Some of its alternative modules have also been upgraded to be more effective.
Upgrade Cost
Standard drones can be upgraded directly into any Alloy variant. The default cost for upgrading an existing drone is: $100,000, 8 Alien Alloys. Upgrading any variant to a Alloy Drone/Medkit variant will require an Advance Medical Kit, this includes a Drone/Medkit. Upgrading to a Alloy Drone/Taser variant requires 8 Elerium, unless it is a Drone/Taser in which case it will only cost 4 Elerium.
