Coelacanth/Gauss
Revision as of 12:39, 2 August 2006 by NKF (talk | contribs) (→Rough notes re Gauss Coelacanth arming bugs)
"Gauss technology provides a powerful weapon system for SWS's. Offering heavy firepower compared with earlier models, and uses proprietary X-Com technology."
The Coelacanth/Gauss uses a replica of the same tracked chassis used by the Gas Cannon and Aqua Jet Coelacanths. Therefore it suffers the same limitations as the two earlier SWS.
The Coelacanth/Gauss is vastly superior in that it has a high powered variation of the Heavy Gauss as a turret. It is more powerful and efficient than the handheld variant.

Notes
- Very rough notes
- Gauss SWS uses Craft Gauss Cannon rounds
- Explain serious ammo arming errors when loading and unloading from transport
- Offer theory: Because Gauss SWS was originally Laser HWP, an ammo-less tank, ammo handling was never implemented properly.
- Explore possible arming error when returning from a mission (possible loss of unspent ammo?)
