The ADVENT Engineer brings indirect fire support to ADVENT squads thanks to their special grenades.

They are initially equipped with only flashbangs for their grenade launcher, but will upgrade to very dangerous incendiary and acid grenades as the campaign progresses and they're improved into Grenadiers, making them into a priority target due to their group damage capabilites. The Engineer is unique in that it's one of the few basic units that doesn't get completely phased out as Force Level progresses.
