General Information
Official Entry: "The private car is a luxury which is only afforded by celebrities and gangsters. The road system in the city is an anti-grav ducting system that allows for fast and safe travel by low powered anti-grav vehicles. Although the car hovers over the road it is not capable of leaving it, except through exceptionally careless manual driving."
Cityscape Information
While most people use the people tubes to get around, some citizens can afford the luxury of a private car.
When engaging civilians cars, for one reason or another (for example, if they belong to the Cult of Sirius), use low-powered weapons like small laser cannons to prevent extensive damage to the transport network, especially bridges and nearby people tubes.
Note that Civilian Cars are colored green on the Cityscape Display and in the in-game Ufopaedia, but blue on Cityscape's Vehicles tab.
If enabled for X-Com to purchase using a utility such as Apoc'd, the civilian car is of little use to X-Com.
