The capture of a Micronoid Aggregate is an essential step in the advancement of our knowledge. This formless mass of micro-organisms is found inside the bloodstream of other Alien forms. Each microscopic organism is an independent and intelligent life form. They communicate with each other using Psionic projection, but they are unresponsive to human Psionics. It is unclear whether these creatures are parasites or an integral part of the Alien spawn.
You know, if the boot could be considered a weapon, it would be lethal to these creatures. They are pretty much piles of goo made up of psionic micro-organisms. These are the true antagonists of the game, for why see [[The Real Alien Threat (Apocalypse)|The Real Alien Threat]]. They aren't very antagonistic in this form however, since they have low movement, no physical attacks and not particularly effective psionic attacks. Not to be ignored though, since they will get mind controls off with enough tries. Micronoid Aggregates are quire rare, and are only reliably found in [[Alien Bomber (Apocalypse)|Alien Bomber]]s and the Sleeping Chamber building in the alien dimension.

To Capture: You need to use a stun grapple since they're immune to gas. Eliminate everyone except the Micronoid Aggregates, then send androids with stun grapples. Micronoids are completely powerless against androids and you can stun or kill them at leisure. The most reliable place to capture Micronoids is when assaulting an Alien Bomber, where they will usually hang back on the upper level and can often be found there alone after the rest of the crew has attacked you.

Micronoid Aggregate
Micronoid Aggregate (Alive).jpg

The capture of a Micronoid Aggregate is an essential step in the advancement of our knowledge. This formless mass of micro-organisms is found inside the bloodstream of other Alien forms. Each microscopic organism is an independent and intelligent life form. They communicate with each other using Psionic projection, but they are unresponsive to human Psionics. It is unclear whether these creatures are parasites or an integral part of the Alien spawn.

This is not one single creature but billions of micro-organisms. These organisms have been found in the cardiovascular systems of other Aliens, but until now we were unaware of their extraordinary capability to act independently. It is clear that our research must concentrate on these unusual life forms.

The Micronoid Aggregate, appearing to be a small puddle of slime, is in fact a collection of highly intelligent microscopic organisms with powerful psionic powers. Though they do not have physical offensive capabilities, their psionic attacks are sufficient to disable or turn human agents against their own comrades. They are the true antagonists of the game. See: The Real Alien Threat.

Micronoid Aggregates are quire rare, and are only found in Alien Bombers and the Sleeping Chamber building in the Alien Dimension.

Capture

When preparing the for the capture, assign one or more android to the team. Androids are immune to psionic attacks, making them perfect candidates for capturing the Micronoid.

For equipment, Micronoids can only be stunned with stun grapples. They are immune to stun gas and psionic stun. Consider bringing a light powered weapon such as a Megapol Plasma Gun to assist with the capture.

When a suitable Micronoid Aggregate is found, back up all humans and hybrid agents and move the android(s) in for the capture. Use a combination of the stun grapple and a low powered weapon to knock out the target. Once the micronoid stops moving, briefly check the overhead map to make sure that it is still indeed alive.

Once stunned, pin the micronoid to the ground by standing an agent over it. As usual for any capture that requires harming the subject, clear the mission quickly so that it doesn't die from any wounds it may have sustained.
