Was considering updating, fixing incorrect info, reformatting and adding links here, but most of it seems to either duplicate or be better to be merged into one of the sections in the current Research article rather than being split out, as that article covers both general research strategy and important projects and the lists of research all in one. --Sfnhltb 10:12, 6 March 2007 (PST)

This section was never truly fleshed out. It's no more than a collection of todo-notes, and a lot of its contents have already found better homes. - NKF
