Shouldn't we put here council nations funding and part of the world full coverage bonuses? I have data for normal difficulty as well as some notes on multiplayer point costs.
- Yup. Sounds good to me :) Hobbes 21:05, 20 September 2012 (EDT)
I think this page should be changed from "Geoscape UE2012" to "Situation Room". The Geoscape makes me think of the big, blue floating orb in the base and scanning for activity. All the info here is really Situation Room info. Following that, the Situation Room link under Base Facilities needs to point here. 22Sep'12
- Yup. I would like the Geoscape to provide later details like a world map with all the countries and to focus on physical aspects. I've just moved things a bit around. Hobbes 18:31, 22 September 2012 (EDT)
- Oh, and to put your signature and timestamp you can simply put ~~~~ at the end of the line. Hobbes 18:32, 22 September 2012 (EDT)
Wordsmithing
How about this? It basically does some moderate wordsmithing in a few sections to shrink sentences but keep the content and clarifies a couple headers in the tables. Robbx213 00:07, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
Supporting XCOM's activities is a Funding Council of 16 countries that will supply XCOM with § and extra resources (e.g., soldiers, scientists, engineers) but will also ask for assistance. Each country provides funding as long as they remain in the council, which depends on their panic level, which ultimately depends on the player's ability to 'protect' those countries by successfully completing tactical combat missions. Continents provide bonuses for placing your base there and for covering the entire continent with satellites.

Panic Level
Each country has a panic level of 0-5 depending on how well XCOM responds to alien activity in that country. Once a country has reached a high enough level of panic, that country may permanently withdraw from the XCOM project. Starting panic levels are higher in Classic and Impossible difficulty levels and failing or skipping a mission on those difficulty levels increases panic faster.
Satellite Cover
The Situation Room can be used to manage satellites, including launching new ones built by Engineering (assuming there's room under your current Satellite Uplink cap). Expanding satellite coverage enhances UFO detection and provides bonus § and resources. Satellites also decrease the panic level of the countries they cover. Aliens will target and destroy satellites; XCOM in turn can protect their remote satellites with collocated interdiction aircraft. This does not create a new base, just 'hangars' in the sense that the aircraft are stationed with the satellite.

Objectives
The Objectives suggest milestones (e.g., "Construct the Alien Containment Facility"; "Research the Arc Thrower") to help you progress through the game. Those actions are usually marked as 'Priority' on the lists of available projects for your base.
